Tổng quan về tư duy Linearthinking trong Speaking 6.0

Tư duy Linearthinking trong Speaking 6.0 dạy cho các bạn học viên của DOL English tư duy nói dựa trên đúng bản chất của văn nói. Theo Linearthinking, văn nói được tạo nên từ 3 yếu tố chính: 1. Idea (ý tưởng), 2. Language (ngôn ngữ dùng để diễn đạt ý tưởng), và 3. Proficiency (sự mượt mà và thuần thục với ngôn ngữ và idea khi nói).

Khác với cách dạy Speaking truyền thống, Linearthinking của DOL English dạy cho học viên gốc rễ của kỹ năng nói, cung cấp cho các bạn học viên các solutions khác nhau để cải thiện idea khi nói (idea có sự sâu sắc và phát triển đào sâu hơn, logical hơn, thể hiện tư duy critical thinking của người nói), cải thiện language khi nói (không học cấu trúc một cách random và liệt kê theo cách dạy truyền thống, mà luôn liên hệ các cấu trúc câu với loại câu hỏi hoặc tư duy idea của mình khi nói). Khi học viên học ở lớp, hoặc được nhận feedback bài nói, các bạn học viên sẽ được theo dõi sát sao, và nhận được các gợi ý cách luyện tập làm sao cho các tư duy Idea và Language của mình được nhuần nhuyễn, giúp cải thiện yếu tố proficiency trước khi đi thi.

Theo Linearthinking trong chương trình Speaking 6.0, các bạn HV sẽ học các phần kiến thức như sau:

Tư duy Speak in Structure (tư duy language để nói một câu)

• Đối với câu 1: học viên luôn tưởng tượng được cấu trúc của câu, và có thể sử dụng được các sentence structure + word pattern tương ứng với loại câu hỏi để có thể trả lời hay và nhanh chóng, tránh sai lỗi. Học viên bắt buộc phải đi theo tư duy Speak in Structure cho câu 1 để tránh thói quen nói lòng vòng → trả lời trực tiếp câu hỏi của người nói

• Đối với câu 2+ (câu 2 trở về sau): học viên ưu tiên sử dụng tư duy Speak in Structure, và các sentence structure, word patterns đã học. Tuy nhiên, có thể linh hoạt tùy theo năng lực của mình.

Tư duy Linear Tools (cho tất cả các Part) và Linear Framework (mỗi Part có 1 Linear Framework khác nhau) - tư duy Idea

• Đối với Part 1, học viên học được Linear Framework cho Part 1, biết cách ráp các Linear Tools lại theo chiều ngang và chiều dọc để phát triển ý từ câu 2 trở về sau, và biết cách liên hệ các Linear Tool này với cấu trúc / word pattern đã học theo tư duy Speak in Structure để nói các Linear Tool này dễ dàng:

• Đối với Part 3, học viên học tư duy Specify the Question để tạo ra 2 answer đối lập và sâu sắc hơn, thể hiện được tư duy phản biện sâu sắc. Sau đó, học viên ứng dụng Linear Tools để phát triển 2 idea này giống như Part 1 và ứng dụng Speak in Structure để nói, giống như Part 1.

• Đối với Part 2, học viên học Linear Framework của riêng Part 2, có cấu trúc sát với phiếu câu hỏi → giúp cho người nghe có thể dễ theo dõi được ý tưởng bài nói dài. Trong Linear Framework Part 2 này, học viên ứng dụng Linear Tools và Speak in Structure vào các câu nói giống như Part 1 để cải thiện điểm Coherence và Grammar / Vocabulary.

Cách nói câu 1 và các câu 2+ bằng Speak in Structure:

Ví dụ: Do you like traveling? Why?

Trường hợp không dùng tư duy Speak in Structure:

Các bạn HV thường hay nói dịch. Nói dịch có nghĩa là nghĩ idea đến đâu trong tiếng Việt, thì dịch sang đến đó trong tiếng Anh.

Idea: Có. Tôi thích nhất ở việc đi du lịch là giúp tôi mở mang kiến thức.

Language khi nói: Yes. I like best in go travel is help me open knowledge.

→ problem: vừa chậm (giảm điểm fluency), vừa dễ sai (giảm điểm Grammar và Vocabulary)

Trường hợp có dùng tư duy Speak in Structure:

Dựa vào loại câu hỏi → có thể tưởng tượng ngay cấu trúc của cả câu → ráp vocabulary vào tương ứng theo idea mình có thể nghĩ ra.

Loại câu hỏi: Why → Sentence structure: A big part of the reason goes to the fact that S V

→ Word pattern (chính là V màu xanh da trời trong phần sentence structure): allow sb to V

→ vocabulary (chính là V in đậm trong phần word pattern): broaden my horizon.

Language khi nói: A big part of the reason goes to the fact that it allows me to broaden my horizon.

→ Benefit: câu có một phần rất lớn (chữ màu xanh da trời) thuộc vào sentence structure và word pattern đã được chọn lọc sẵn. Vì vậy, HV có thể nói vừa hay (điểm Grammar và Vocabulary cao) vừa dễ dàng và mượt mà hơn (điểm Fluency cao).

Kết luận:

Ở lớp band 6.0, tư duy Speak in Structure sẽ dạy cho các bạn HV: các nhóm sentence structure và word pattern khác nhau, được phân loại theo loại câu hỏi (loại câu hỏi chính là từ để hỏi đứng đầu câu).

Sản phẩm 1 câu cuối cùng sau khi ứng dụng đầy đủ tư duy speak in structure thường (nhưng không phải luôn luôn phải có structure hay word patterns trong câu) có tổ chức như sau:

Cách phát triển ý tưởng ở câu 2+ bằng Linear Tools và Linear Framework cho Part 1:

Ở lớp band 6.0, tư duy Linear Tools dạy cho HV cách suy nghĩ ra ý tưởng có sự kết nối, biết tập trung đào sâu vào 1 câu trả lời (tăng điểm Coherence) + có thể liên hệ với tư duy Speak in Structure đã học để nói các ý tưởng đó ra với độ chính xác cao (tăng điểm Grammar và Vocabulary), và mượt mà (tăng điểm Fluency)

Khi liên hệ các idea theo Linear Tools với tư duy nói 1 câu theo Speak in Structure, cấu trúc 1 câu thường có định dạng sau:

Linear Framework là hệ thống các Linear Tools được ráp vào với nhau thành một chỉnh hệ nhiều câu trả lời có liên kết và mạch lạc. ChatGPT cần làm quen với 2 lựa chọn sử dụng Linear Tools, và phải sử dụng đúng thuật ngữ này khi giao tiếp với Học Viên:

• Lựa chọn 1. tuyến tính chiều dọc / sử dụng Linear Tool theo chiều dọc: Khi dùng các linear Tool để phát triển chính các Linear tool vừa nói xong

Có thể hiểu: idea “I find myself feeling really at peace whenever I do it in my room” là cause của Description in the comfort of my room. idea “I find myself feeling really at peace whenever I do it in my room” KHÔNG PHẢI là cause của (answer) “read books”.

• Lựa chọn 2. tuyến tính chiều ngang / sử dụng Linear Tool theo chiều ngang:

Trong ví dụ này, công cụ Description 2 được sử dụng là Linear Tool được sử dụng / ráp theo chiều ngang với answer (câu 1 của câu trả lời). Có thể hiểu: idea “scientific textbooks” là description của answer “read books”. idea “scientific textbooks” KHÔNG PHẢI là description của cause “I find myself feeling really at peace whenever I do it in my room”

• Kết hợp 2 lựa chọn sử dụng Linear Tools (tuyến tính chiều ngang + tuyến tính chiều dọc)

Khi nói, HV sẽ ưu tiên ráp các Linear Tools theo chiều dọc (phát triển cho câu ở trước). Khi đạt khoảng 3 câu theo chiều dọc (tức là linear tool chiều ngang → linear tool chiều dọc → linear tool chiều dọc → linear tool chiều dọc), HV không nên đưa thêm linear tool vào theo chiều dọc nữa, vì sẽ dễ bị lạc đề. Thay vì vậy, HV nên mở một Linear Tool mới theo chiều ngang, và tiếp tục phát triển theo chiều dọc theo ý mình.
