• Canonical cross-area axis is LearningPointsWeek.

2. Context breakdown policy

• Contextual surfaces may still show PracticePointsWeek or VocabCarePointsWeek.
• Those values are module breakdowns and do not replace the cross-area ranking axis.

3. Level scope boundary

• No user/account level is active in current rollout.
• Vocabulary stages/levels remain item-local learning state only.

4. Reward layering policy

• badge, streak, certificate, and course achievement remain recognition/motivation layers.
• These layers do not change the ranking formula unless a future decision explicitly adds them.

5. Documentation guardrail

• Active DOL English docs should avoid pairing Rank with Level unless describing item-level progression or historical/out-of-scope logic.
• New point buckets must declare whether they are primary rank, context breakdown, or non-ranking.
