Context

The payment stack still mixed ecosystem-level complexity. V2 needed a narrower, explicit lifecycle contract for cycles, methods, and overlap behavior.

Decision

Payment lifecycle for DOL English V2:

• Supported cycles:
  • monthly auto-renew,
  • one-time 3/6-month non-renew.
• Supported methods at launch:
  • card,
  • Momo,
  • bank QR/chuyển khoản.
• Bank QR/chuyển khoản applies to one-time only.
• If user buys monthly while one-time is still active for same scope:
  • monthly starts after one-time expiry (queue behavior).
• Monthly cancellation takes effect at end of current paid cycle.

Decision Value

• Keeps payment behavior simple but flexible for local payment habits.
• Avoids double-entitlement ambiguity during overlap periods.
• Preserves predictable revenue lifecycle and user expectations.

Rationale

This model balances conversion and operational clarity: monthly is the recurring default, while one-time supports users who avoid auto-renew.
