DEC-0035 - Unified result surface, tier lock visibility, and locked-AI upgrade entry policy

Context

Tier boundaries and checkout routing were already defined, but the product still needed one explicit behavior contract for what every user sees immediately after submission and how locked AI content upgrades are triggered.

Decision

Post-submit result routing:

• After submission, all users are routed to result page.
• For AI-scored contexts, result page shows AI-loading state until scoring completes.

Tier lock visibility on the same result UI:

• Result page layout is shared across tiers.
• Entitlement controls lock/unlock status per section.
• Free users see AI-scored sections as locked and need upgrade to open them.

Locked-AI upgrade entry:

• Tapping locked AI sections opens quick-upgrade popup first.
• Popup always shows both package options:
  • Pro,
  • Pro Max.
• Popup includes link to detailed package page.

Metric counting:

• All submitted exercises are counted into learning metrics, regardless of current account tier.

Decision Value

• One shared result UI reduces complexity and avoids duplicated flows by tier.
• Immediate lock-state clarity improves upsell transparency without breaking user journey.
• Counting all submissions preserves fair progress tracking and motivation continuity.

Rationale

This policy keeps the experience simple and scalable: one result surface, deterministic lock behavior, and one consistent upgrade entry pattern.
