DEC-0065 - Home priority, profile privacy defaults, and plan-switching baseline for autonomous completion

Phần tiêu đề “DEC-0065 - Home priority, profile privacy defaults, and plan-switching baseline for autonomous completion”

To maintain momentum and avoid discovery deadlock, the user requested autonomous completion using best-practice defaults that remain simple, scalable, and consistent with the V2 objective.

Post-upgrade continuity:

  • After successful upgrade, return user to the exact originating context first.
  • Show lightweight success popover with optional feature-discovery action.
  • No forced mini-tour gate before continuing current learning flow.

Home CTA and block priority:

  • Keep baseline empty-state CTA order stable: Practice -> Vocabulary -> Course.
  • Context-based reordering only when there is explicit source intent from entry link/campaign/program, scoped to current session.
  • For users who have both course and self-study:
    • if urgent course item exists (next_class <=48h or due_item <=72h), show course block first,
    • otherwise keep self-study practice first to protect habit retention.

Profile visibility defaults:

  • Public-by-default minimal profile: display name, avatar, high-level community achievements.
  • Private-by-default sensitive profile: email, phone, DOB, payment methods, billing details, social links, recovery/security detail.

Plan switching baseline:

  • Upgrade to higher tier: effective immediately with prorated charge for remaining current cycle.
  • Downgrade to lower tier: effective at next cycle renewal; no partial mid-cycle refund.
  • One-time pass: no mid-cycle downgrade/cancel refund; follow existing overlap/queue rules for additional purchases.
  • Keeps user flow uninterrupted at high-intent moments.
  • Preserves a predictable Home behavior for new users while still allowing lightweight contextual relevance.
  • Minimizes privacy risk by default.
  • Reduces billing confusion with deterministic, explainable switching behavior.

The selected defaults maximize clarity and operational simplicity while staying aligned to the platform’s long-term target: sustainable habit formation with low friction and scalable rule governance.
