DEC-0067 - Monetization and AI entitlement baseline for low-friction upgrade flow

Payment and result contracts were mostly aligned, but some experience-level defaults still needed explicit lock to avoid interpretation drift and keep user flow friction low.

Pro Max AI policy:

  • Pro Max advanced AI usage is credit-based by default.
  • “Unlimited” in Pro Max refers to practice access scope, not unlimited advanced AI consumption.

Writing/Speaking free visibility:

  • Free users can view basic score baseline.
  • Advanced AI detail remains locked.

Checkout blocker continuity:

  • If checkout is blocked due to missing verified recoverable contact, preserve selected package/cycle/context.
  • After verify success, resume checkout at the same blocker step.
  • Do not restart checkout from beginning.

Locked-feature quick popup default:

  • If popup shows Pro and Pro Max, preselect the minimum eligible package by feature requirement.
  • User still confirms or changes package explicitly before moving to checkout.

Post-payment continuity from result:

  • From result context, return to exact current result context after success.
  • Auto-open the section that was just unlocked.

Refund baseline:

  • No self-serve refund in current V2 active baseline.
  • Refund remains support/manual-policy driven.
  • System-failure AI auto-refund remains mandatory and unchanged.
  • Reduces upgrade friction at high-intent moments.
  • Keeps entitlement communication transparent and predictable.
  • Protects operational simplicity and cost control while retaining user trust protections.

This baseline keeps the UX straightforward for users and deterministic for operations, while preserving room for future refund/self-serve expansion without reworking core contracts.
